Studio Blendd at de Doelen is becoming an all day listening bar with a programme curated by de Doelen. From 18 june onwards, we will open with a festive first Newport Jazz Session. Newport Jazz Sessions
Leading Dutch jazz, up close at Studio Blendd at de Doelen
With Newport Jazz Sessions, de Doelen brings leading voices from the Dutch jazz scene to Studio Blendd at de Doelen every month. From Edison Award winners to artists pushing the boundaries of the genre, these intimate duo and trio performances offer a close up experience of jazz that is adventurous, personal and entirely in the moment.
The artists in this series perform at venues such as North Sea Jazz and international festivals, but here they return to the power of the small setting. Studio Blendd at de Doelen becomes a place where improvisation, musical interaction and artistry take centre stage. A place where Rotterdam’s rich jazz heritage can be felt, while making room for the sounds of today and tomorrow.

Codarts Jazz & Global Sessions
The next generation takes the stage at de Doelen
Codarts Jazz & Global Sessions gives emerging talent from Codarts Rotterdam a stage at Studio Blendd at de Doelen. This series is the result of a renewed collaboration between two key musical institutions that contribute to the rich artistic talent for which Rotterdam is known: Codarts and de Doelen.
In intimate duo and trio settings, conservatory students present original work, fresh interpretations and musical encounters where jazz and global music meet. The series creates a bridge between education and the professional stage. Within an authentic club atmosphere, there is room for collaboration, experimentation and the development of a distinctive artistic voice.
In this way, Studio Blendd at de Doelen is growing into a permanent home for new creators, curious listeners and the music of the future.

Every week, Vinyl Sessions transforms Studio Blendd at de Doelen into an intimate listening club. Jazz, global sounds, soulful grooves and electronic influences come together on vinyl. DJs dive into iconic catalogues such as Blue Note and ECM, spin music by artists who have previously performed at de Doelen, and create unexpected connections between classics, new releases and genre crossing discoveries.
From deep jazz grooves to electronic experiments and global rhythms, Vinyl Sessions is all about listening, discovering and winding down the week together. It is a relaxed and open evening where music takes centre stage and Studio Blendd at de Doelen becomes a place for connection, reflection and new sounds.
