de Doelen kids: Make your own magazine!

In this two-hour workshop, children will be introduced to Do-It-Yourself zine culture and be part of it by making A5 staple-bound coloring zines. They are invited to contribute a minimum of one page to a maximum of three pages of drawings, responding to the proposed prompt. They will learn how to scan, copy, and then bind pages together by themselves. Each of them will take small copies of their coloring zines to distribute with their friends, families, and even strangers!

Come and join our exciting workshop where you and your children will explore the world of zines! In this creative gathering, we'll work together to create your very own unique zine. Drawing inspiration from your own stories and drawings, we'll compile an A5 zine that you can even share with your friends, family, and anyone else you meet! And as if that's not enough, some copies of your zines will even be on display at de Doelen!

During the workshop, we'll not only engage in creative activities but also learn more about zine culture. We'll explore various zines for inspiration and collaborate with our host to bring our creative ideas to life.

The program includes a 15-minute introduction and inspiration session, followed by a 50-minute creative session where we'll work on drawings and other creative expressions. Then, we'll bind and duplicate our zines ourselves for 20 minutes. We'll conclude with a 15-minute cleanup session.
