Every year, conservatory students from the Netherlands and Belgium come together to form a single massive orchestra: the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands.

This year, cellist Harriët Krijgh and conductor Martin Sieghart are the guests of honor.  The program boasts two final works: Edward Elgar’s famous cello concerto and Bruckner’s final symphony – the phenomenal Ninth.

Almost every Dutch professional musician has played with the NJO when they were a student. This orchestra is unique thanks to their enthusiasm, energy, and talent, which enables them to play ambitious programs which are sometimes too much even for established orchestras.
