Composer and pianist Alexis Ffrench moves freely between classical music and other musical worlds. Through his distinctive approach to ‘Classical Soul’, he refuses to be confined by genre, period or traditional expectations. Drawing on a wide range of influences, his music combines cinematic simplicity with direct and accessible composition.
His latest project, 24, will be released in October 2026. The album consists of 24 pieces tracing the course of a single day, from dawn to dusk. Ffrench turns his attention to the ordinary moments of everyday life and the role music can play within them: as a companion, a moment of calm and a space for reflection.
Ffrench’s music has reached a broad international audience. His catalogue has amassed more than one billion streams worldwide, while his single Bluebird achieved Gold status in the United States. Alongside his work as an artist, he is a passionate advocate for music education and the first-ever Artistic Director of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in its 133-year history.
On 5 June 2027, Alexis Ffrench comes to de Doelen with music that brings together classical sounds, personal moments and the rhythms of everyday life.
