Circusstad: Shenanigans

Motivated by their love of circus, object manipulation and their playful approach to everyday life, this duo is the perfect duo.
Why do we stop playing when we grow up? By manipulating toys like gliders, cars and as many as 678 ball pit balls, Henri Kangas and Batist van Baekel allow young and old audiences to discover new ways of playing.

Henri and Batist are jugglers and object manipulators, graduates of Codarts Circus Arts. 'Shenanigans' is their first circus performance about the role of play and imagination as a counterbalance in a society with far too much focus on screens. Last year they showed a promising work-in-progress version. So high expectations for the official Dutch premiere during the festival.
