Rotterdam has long been Skate City Numero Uno. Who does not remember the roller disco in the old Calypso and the Energiehal, or the Wednesday Night Skate? Hundreds, if not thousands of locals cherish fond memories of those skate events. A real rollerskating community arose in the 80s and 90s.
Since a few years a new generation of skaters has emerged, a group that mixes great with the Old School rollerdisco lovers. To celebrate, Skate guru and DJ Brian Kanhai of Quadsk8 is bringing his Rollerganza to the Doelen on Wednesday night, Feb. 14!
Expect 80s soul & funk and contemporary deep & soulful house, a dispensing desk with rental skates and top coaches for novice dancers, for an exuberant evening on wheels.
