The Waluw Vintage Market in Rotterdam's Doelen has rapidly become a tradition. Curator and interior stylist of the Doelen Chris Igesz always sees to it that the quality of the vintage offerings is next level. For the fourth edition, on Easter Sunday, we will be introducing something new around the dance floor in the stylish downstairs hall: an up-cycling section. While on the second floor vintage, bric a brac, curiosa, design & fashion will be for sale.

Up-cycling
Igesz: "Up-cycling of fashion has taken off recently. Not only is it sustainable to make something new out of old, the result is often unique. Whether it's clothing or old radios and lampshades. It is a trend that is going to grow and continue. We like to join that trend, it's sustainable, creative and contemporary."

High quality
Of course, for fans of the original Waluw Vintage Market, there is plenty to do again. The wonderful second floor of the building will once again be transformed into a true vintage Valhalla for hundreds of enthusiasts. As usual, Waluw has managed to book the best of vintage dealers. From sixties furniture, porcelain and vinyl to unique high-end fashion labels and USA streetwear, no one will leave the building empty-handed.

Entertainment has also been thought of: for example, the cool DJ duo Monica Electronica & Richelle Soigni will play from 11 a.m. onwards. And we invite visitors to type love letters, odes or poems on classic typewriters.
Of course, the bar will be open for drinks throughout the day, while delicious lunches prepared by Rotterdam's top chefs from Locale Kaap and Maher's Kitchen will be available.

Tip
Tip from Waluw: In addition to your debit card, be sure to bring cash, as some vintage merchants do not use debit cards. Nearest ATM is at Central Station near the ticket office.

NB! tickets cost 4.50 euros until March 30, 9 p.m., after which the door price of 5.50 euros applies.
