lmnop en Lyckle De Jong & Kim David Bots

‘lmnop’ is the alias of Casper van der Lans (Teddy’s Hit, Personal Trainer, Pip Blom). It is an experimental and instrumental music project with a melancholic sound. Recently, lmnop has joined forces with Boudewijn Scholten and Otto de Jong (both from 'a fungus') for live performances.

Kim David Bots and Lyckle de Jong met in 2017 in the water-basin of one of the earliest concrete structures in the Netherlands, a bunker that was part of Amsterdam’s defensive line, built around the 1890’s. Something that used to house water was now empty. For three days they recorded improvised music, which formed the base for a continuing musical friendship.
With clarinet, flute, kawai k1, pvc tube, organelle, iPad, dog bowls, and samplers Kim David Bots and Lyckle de Jong make chains of brief and improvised mini compositions inspired by browsing, reels/shorts, Zorn, and library music.
