Organist Adriaan Hoek and sand artist Gert van der Vijver combine music and visual art in a performance centred on imagination. Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals are particularly well suited to this collaboration. As the organ brings the scenes and characters to life, live sand drawings emerge on stage, moving in sync with the music. Sound and image come together to create an immersive and accessible performance for audiences of all ages.
