Pianist Ralph van Raat is known for his strong affinity with American minimalism. In this concert, he joins forces with violinist Rosanne Philippens and soprano Laura Bohn for a programme centred on rhythm, repetition and vocal expression. Works by John Adams, Steve Reich and Philip Glass demonstrate how these composers gave the classical concerto a new idiom, creating space for movement, energy and the human voice. An evening in which instrumental and vocal lines are in constant dialogue.
