During the Meespeeldag, Rotterdam children’s orchestras from the Rotterdam Youth Symphony Orchestra and SKVR, as well as the Melodymakers of Zangexpress, take the stage. Concerts take place at 13:00 and 15:00. Around these performances, children can participate in musical activities such as the Instrument Parade and Orchestra Explorer, in collaboration with SKVR, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, TOON Rotterdam and Zangexpress.
Programme
- At 13:00 and 15:00, the children’s orchestras perform concerts in the Jurriaanse Hall.
- Doors open at 12:00, and the foyers are accessible from that time.
- Before and after the concerts, various musical activities are organised by SKVR, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, TOON Rotterdam and Zangexpress.
