He therefore invites the audience to surrender—together with him—to the power of the levenslied (songs of life), and to fully immerse themselves in the heartache sung about by all those wonderful artists such as Johnny Jordaan, Corry Konings, André Hazes, Zangeres zonder Naam and Frans Duijts.

Chris sings, plays and tells stories—and on top of that, the audience receives a masterclass in the technique of singing the levenslied from none other than his alter ego Frans Engels! Infotainment, interaction, and lots and lots of singing.
