The Netherlands Chamber Choir and Cappella Mediterranea perform Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium, a work deeply rooted in the Advent and Christmas season. Across six cantatas, Bach tells the Christmas story through a rich variety of intimate chorales, festive choral movements and expressive arias. The combination of choir and Baroque orchestra creates a vibrant and transparent performance, in which joy, contemplation and anticipation continually alternate. An evening where tradition and musical richness come together in one of Bach’s most beloved works.
