Violinist Isabelle van Keulen has been passionate about Argentine tango for many years. With her own ensemble, she brings together the worlds of Astor Piazzolla and Johann Sebastian Bach. Tango nuevo and Baroque music prove to be surprisingly compatible: rhythm and melancholy meet structure and clarity. With bandoneon, piano, double bass and violin, a world of contrasting sounds emerges, where passion and precision reinforce one another. A programme that makes the leap from Buenos Aires to Dresden without losing any of its intensity.
