With his distinctive, warm voice, Colin Blunstone made music history as the lead singer of The Zombies. The British band broke through in the 1960s with songs including ‘She’s Not There’, ‘Tell Her No’ and ‘Time of the Season’. Their album Odessey and Oracle would later become one of the most highly regarded records of its era. In 2019, The Zombies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Alongside his work with The Zombies, Blunstone developed a solo career spanning more than fifty years. His debut album One Year was released in 1971, followed by records including Ennismore. He also collaborated with other artists and projects, most notably lending his voice to ‘Old and Wise’ by The Alan Parsons Project.
After many years of touring and recording new music with Rod Argent and The Zombies, the band’s touring career came to an end in 2024. Blunstone has since refocused on his solo work. In 2024 he released Less Is More, a collection of five previously unheard demos featuring his voice accompanied only by acoustic guitar.
With his solo band, Colin Blunstone brings together music from different chapters of his career. His own material sits alongside Zombies classics such as ‘She’s Not There’ and ‘Time of the Season’, tracing a musical line from 1960s British pop to his work today.
