In Studio 2, de Doelen Art, discover our own exhibition from 15 May: 60 Years in Posters. Take a journey through time and explore a selection of iconic posters from the past six decades. From Tina Turner and Shirley Bassey to Lou Reed and Blondie, and from vacuum cleaner concerts and Pandora’s Box to poetry nights and art congresses. De Doelen is the place where it all comes together.

With this exhibition, we showcase the versatility of de Doelen. Revisit memories and let different eras take centre stage. At the same time, we look ahead, building on everything that has been made possible over the past 60 years and carrying it forward into the future. In this anniversary year, we are also embracing a new strategy that brings us closer to the core of de Doelen as an iconic concert hall. Let this exhibition be a preview of what is yet to come. From 15 May, during your visit to a concert, explore the most iconic posters from de Doelen’s history in the Great Hall Foyer. A special selection featuring remarkable names that will surprise you, artists you may have seen live or wish you had experienced.
