Vinyl Sessions: DJ Klapsalon

DJ Klapsalon is a Rotterdam-based selector. His vinyl sets move between obscure dancefloor cuts and forgotten global sounds. Drawing from a personal archive of records, tapes and CDs, his sets blend body-moving rhythms with unexpected sonic detours. Equally at home in clubs, festivals and listening environments, his approach shifts from hypnotic warm-ups to high-energy, genre-bending dancefloor moments.

He has played at festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Atlas Electronic in Marrakesh, Milhões de Festa and Le Guess Who?, and is a regular at venues including Time Is The New Space, NAR, Operator Radio and Cult=Us.

Beyond DJing, he curates the hybrid live/DJ concept Panoramique and co-runs Low G Court, while also hosting the radio show Grand Hôtel de l’Univers. Through his YouTube channel and Bandcamp, he shares rare and previously unavailable recordings from his archive.

Vinyl Sessions

During Vinyl Sessions, Studio Blendd @ de Doelen becomes an intimate listening club every week. Jazz, global sounds, soulful grooves and electronic influences come together on vinyl. DJs delve into iconic catalogues such as Blue Note and ECM, play music by artists who have previously performed at de Doelen, and draw unexpected connections between classics, new releases and crossovers.
