The Kik presents: Boudewijn de Groot's Greatest Hits. Following the successful performance of the key albums “Voor De Overlevenden” and “Picknick” (They are incredibly good. ***** - De Volkskrant), now it's time for the hits. The band, fronted by Dave von Raven, is now touring theaters with an orchestra to perform the audience favorites; classics such as Welterusten Mijnheer De President, Avond, Testament, Het Land Van Maas En Waal, De Reiziger, Jimmy, and Een Meisje Van Zestien are of course included.
The original arrangements were meticulously rewritten and adapted by arranger Reyer Zwart, paying homage to arranger Bert Paige, who took the work of Lennaert Nijgh and Boudewijn de Groot to an even higher level at the time. The Kik once again received permission from the “Grand Master” himself to perform his work
The Kik is no longer an unknown quantity. The band, fronted by singer Dave von Raven, is a welcome guest at festivals, theaters, and clubs alike. The band can regularly be heard and seen on radio and TV. They were once the house band on De Wereld Draait Door and more recently have been the house band on Beau en Eva. This promises to be a memorable musical tribute. An evening full of recognition, where the music of yesteryear comes back to life—with all the warmth, depth, and originality that characterize The Kik and the work of Boudewijn de Groot.
