About Newport Jazz Sessions:
With Newport Jazz Sessions, de Doelen brings leading voices from the Dutch jazz scene to Studio Blend at de Doelen every month. From Edison Award winners to artists pushing the boundaries of the genre: intimate duo and trio performances bring you up close to jazz — adventurous, personal and entirely in the moment.
The artists in this series perform at North Sea Jazz and international festivals, but here they return to the power of an intimate setting. Studio Blend at de Doelen becomes a place where improvisation, interplay and musicianship take centre stage. Where Rotterdam’s rich jazz history can be felt, and where the sounds of today and tomorrow have room to flourish.
