Matthäus-Passion 2027

Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orchestra

Baroque sensation Johanna Soller brings all the emotions to life in Bach’s masterpiece.

Johanna Soller is one of the rising stars of Baroque music. De Volkskrant praised her charisma and attention to textual expression, the Netherlands Bach Society appointed her as its artistic director—and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra managed to secure her for this year’s performance of the St. Matthew Passion. Music that contains every conceivable emotion, says Soller, “and I want to make them all audible.”
