The young Swedish violinist Daniel Lozakovich can rightly be described as a rising international star. At just 15, he recorded his first album for Deutsche Grammophon, and he has since performed on the world’s major stages. Tonight, he shines next to Candida Thompson in Mozart’s celebrated Sinfonia concertante. In this work, the soloists engage in a profound and vibrant musical dialogue with the orchestra.

Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings opens with a movement he described himself as “in the style of Mozart”, paying tribute to the composer he deeply admired. Although rooted in Classical form, the work gradually unfolds into Tchaikovsky’s unmistakable Romantic voice: lyrical, passionate and rich in color.
