Art Walk Live

Did you know that de Doelen houses one of the most remarkable art collections from the post war reconstruction period? This collection has recently been expanded with new works that reconnect the building with the city and its makers.

During Art Walk Live, you will discover works such as Reverberations by Christine Rusche, Tronie and Stad by Anuli Croon, Legshow by Madeleine Berkhemer and Ami nsta li, nkre sta djuntu ku nhos by Sandim Mendes. Also newly added are the photographic work Het spaarpotje van Jurriaanse by Harry Sengers and the sculpture Hommage aan Willem Pijper by Stephan Balkenhol.

Guided by a Rotterdam based art expert, you will walk past these works, including backstage areas and a special visit to the roof. Along the way, you will hear the stories behind the art, the architecture, and the history of the building. The tour starts at gallery de Doelen Art at Schouwburgplein 57.
