Following the success of several sold-out club tours and shows as the support act for Miss Montreal, the Dutch pop duo BENR are now taking to the theatre for the first time. During the creation of this show, the childhood friends are being supported by Remco Veldhuis (Veldhuis & Kemper). Bart Maessen and Robin Zomer have known each other all their lives and translate their shared ups and downs into honest, Dutch-language pop. They were previously described by De Telegraaf as the new ‘Nick & Simon’.
In this intimate show, they bring their personal songs to life with candid stories, humour and emotion. From friendship and fun-loving times to loss and fatherhood: as best friends and colleagues, they take you into their world, with the same energetic silliness that characterises their shows and popular online videos.
With hits such as ‘Kom Je Me Halen’ and the number 1 hit ‘Beetje Gek’, regular appearances on radio and TV, viral videos and over 800,000 followers, they are working hard to realise their dream of becoming the biggest duo in the Netherlands.
