Immersed in the salutary tranquility of the Ivanovka estate, Rachmaninoff wrote his Third Piano Concerto during the summer of 1909. A masterpiece from a paradise not yet lost: not long after, war broke out in Europe, and in music. Café Marseille, pet store De Rimboe, and ice cream shop De Ijssalon set the scene for a lively area where residents of all ages and styles come together. Photographer Robin Utrecht and creative producer Mieke van der Linden shine a spotlight on this diversity with a series of portraits. Utrecht, known for his work during Lunchbreak concerts and royal state visits, shows in this series that ordinary people are anything but ordinary.
