Retrospective: Week of the Friend 2026
The week of April 20 at de Doelen was dedicated to our Friends. Through a series of special activities, we offered a glimpse into everything that happens behind the scenes, as a token of appreciation for their involvement and support.
It was a week in which curiosity and engagement took center stage. Friends explored the building during guided tours, delved into the technical side, and discovered just how versatile de Doelen truly is. During the rehearsal visit of PRJCT Amsterdam, they experienced up close how a concert is prepared.
The Doelen organ also received full attention during the workshop by city organist Adriaan Hoek, where everything about this remarkable instrument was shared. During the Art Walk Live, art and architecture came together in stories you might normally pass by. And in the anniversary tours, we looked back on sixty years of history, highlighting the moments that have shaped the building.
