Koosje is a singer-songwriter with a unique voice in the Dutch musical landscape. From a musical world full of neo-soul, folk, jazz and R&B, she has been building her own universe of expression, harmony and emotion since her debut album ‘It's Time’ (2023). Her second album ‘One More’ will be released in May 2025 and marks a new chapter in her artistic journey: intimate, layered and infused with life experience.
Born into a theater family and formed at the intersection of cabaret and conservatory, Koosje moves effortlessly between vocal technique and free musical imagination. She has collaborated with artists such as Ruben Hein, João Erbetta and the Artvark Saxophone Quartet, and garnered praise from such luminaries as David Crosby, Gregory Porter and Lalah Hathaway.
'One More' is an ode to impermanence and resilience - a reflection on life's ups and downs, written and recorded in her home studio. The album brings together soulful grooves (“Oblivion,” “Quiet Portrait”) and hushed folk influences (“One More,” “IBIL”), always carried by layered harmonies and emotionally charged vocals.
With João Erbetta as co-producer and a fully live-in production, Koosje shows herself not only as a singer, but also as a composer, arranger and storyteller. After a successful album tour, performances at Paradiso and TivoliVredenburg, and winning the Rabo Talent Award, “One More” confirms her place as one of the most versatile and idiosyncratic voices of her generation.

Sophie Koole is a 27-year-old singer-songwriter from Rotterdam. With her soulful voice and poignant lyrics about insecurities, love, stability, and personal growth, she combines influences from jazz, R&B, and pop in her songs. As a vocal trio, with two backing vocalists, she performs her songs full of vocal harmonies, ad-libs, and intriguing harmonies. Inspired by artists like Lianne La Havas and Lauryn Hill, she accompanies herself on guitar and knows how to transform a large venue into an intimate living room.
Sophie studied jazz singing in Rotterdam and London. Last year, she and her two backing vocalists were finalists in the KeepAnEye Foundation's Young Talent Award for Singer-Songwriters.
