Katia and Marielle Labèque have been among the world’s leading piano duos for decades. In this recital, they present a programme that puts female composers from different centuries centre stage, alongside works by their contemporaries and classics from the repertoire. Music by Fanny Mendelssohn, Hélène de Montgeroult and Dora Pejačević is performed alongside Debussy, Ravel and Fauré, while contemporary voices and arrangements of works by Nina Simone and Bernstein also feature. The result is a rich and diverse soundscape in which tradition, innovation and personal expression come together.
