Following the success of his biography, Cesar Zuiderwijk is now bringing his story to the stage on a lecture tour. On this tour, he’ll be joined by writer and music journalist Jean-Paul Heck to discuss his life, his music, and his career. The result is an evening full of stories, interspersed with spoken word and a dash of drumming.
From the early years of Golden Earring to global hits like “Radar Love,” and from major successes to difficult moments: everything is covered. His solo work, projects like Sloper, and the band’s breakup also feature in this performance. Personal memories are interwoven with anecdotes and humor.
The audience also plays a role and becomes part of the evening. Attendees get the chance to ask questions and share their own memories. This creates an open and intimate evening in which an important chapter of Dutch pop history comes to life.
Jean-Paul Heck, who has been active as a music journalist for decades, moderates the conversation and provides depth and context. Together, they take you through the story behind Golden Earring’s drummer.
