Under the direction of Nicholas Collon, the innovative Aurora Orchestra presents an energetic and daring program in which rhythm and dynamics are central. Piano virtuoso Hayato Sumino adds his sparkling playing to Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, in which jazz and classical merge. 

Ravel’s hypnotic Bolero and Adams’ rousing Short Ride in a Fast Machine set the tone, followed by Stravinsky’s revolutionary Le Sacre du Printemps – played entirely from memory.
