Martha Argerich plays Bartók 3

'Stunningly beautiful', 'improbably refined': NRC reviewer Joep Stapel gave Martha Argerich's concert with the Rotterdam Philharmonic a place of honor in his classical top five of 2022. In the first spot, he listed a premiere by Joey Roukens, also with our orchestra. The legendary Argerich and the brilliant Roukens now come together in one evening, with Dvořák to top it off. Café Marseille, pet store De Rimboe, and ice cream shop De Ijssalon set the scene for a lively area where residents of all ages and styles come together. Photographer Robin Utrecht and creative producer Mieke van der Linden shine a spotlight on this diversity with a series of portraits. Utrecht, known for his work during Lunchbreak concerts and royal state visits, shows in this series that ordinary people are anything but ordinary.
