Gorecki's Third Symphony is one of the greatest and most moving masterpieces of the 20th century. As the sweeping and dramatic melody reaches its climax, Conny Janssen Danst's dancers enter with a brand-new choreography. 

One of the most successful composers of the 20th century, Gorecki, like Arvo Pärt, belongs to the sacred minimalism. The repetition and emptiness in his music make room for something sacred - call it reflection, contemplation or meditation. His Third Symphony, also known as the Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, is undoubtedly his most popular and moving work.
