Pianist Bruce Liu is the winner of the Chopin-concour. Listen to his Chopin and you will be amazed at how it can sound so familiar and yet brand new. For this collaboration, the Amsterdam Sinfonietta has arranged Chopin's most famous works for piano and string orchestra.

Bruce Liu is the son of Chinese parents and was born in Paris and raised in Montreal. This has shaped his attitude, personality and character: "What we all have in common are our differences". This led to his breakthrough as a pianist when he won the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2021. Bruce Liu joins the Amsterdam Sinfonietta for the first time with Frederic Chopin's Second Piano Concerto and the virtuoso Polonaise brillante, both arranged for piano and string orchestra.
