John Williams, the favourite composer of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas composed Stars Wars, Jaws, E.T., Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Superman, Schindler’s List and the first three films of the Harry Potter saga. 5 Oscars for the best film music, 52 nominations. No comment.
Hans Zimmer, of German origin has also an impressive palmares : the original film music for Black Rain, Thelma and Louise, The Lion King, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Tears of the Sun, The Dark Knight, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean….. In 2007, the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called Hans Zimmer one of the most important composers of film music in the world.

Visit NEIGHBOURS before, during, or after your concert at de Doelen. This photo exhibition in the Grote Zaal Foyer welcomes de Doelen’s neighbours from the Oude Westen neighborhood.
Café Marseille, pet store De Rimboe, and ice cream shop De Ijssalon set the scene for a lively area where residents of all ages and styles come together. Photographer Robin Utrecht and creative producer Mieke van der Linden shine a spotlight on this diversity with a series of portraits. Utrecht, known for his work during Lunchbreak concerts and royal state visits, shows in this series that ordinary people are anything but ordinary.
