On May 18, 2016, De Doelen celebrated its 50th anniversary. The building on the Schouwburgplein, which is generally regarded as the final piece of the reconstruction and the start of the cultural reconstruction, means a lot, to a lot of people. Since its opening in 1966, millions of people have visited De Doelen and tens of thousands of concerts and gatherings have taken place. A rich history that should not be lost.
