New city bistro
has opened: Bistro Blendd @ de Doelen
Today, Bistro Blendd @ de Doelen opens its doors. Right in the heart of the iconic concert hall, a cozy urban bistro is taking shape, where good food, fine wines, and the energy of de Doelen come together. The bistro is open Tuesday through Saturday to both concertgoers and other guests.
On regular days, guests can dine à la carte. On concert days, Bistro Blendd serves a special three-course concert menu, timed to coincide with the start times of the performances. This allows visitors to enjoy a leisurely meal without having to watch the clock: the team ensures they’ll be seated in the hall on time.
“As far as we’re concerned, a concert evening doesn’t start with the first note. We want guests to be able to arrive relaxed, enjoy a good meal, and then walk straight into the auditorium. Those not attending a concert can simply stay seated and enjoy a good glass of wine or an extra dish,” says Wouter Raijmakers, hospitality manager at Bistro Blendd.
Bistro Blendd is the second Blendd concept to open at De Doelen this year. Earlier this summer, Studio Blendd @ de Doelen opened: an accessible gathering place where food, drinks, and music come together, featuring weekly live performances and vinyl sessions. With both concepts, the hospitality offerings at De Doelen are becoming more diverse. From coffee, lunch, or drinks at Studio Blendd to a full dinner at Bistro Blendd: visitors can enjoy the concert hall throughout the day and evening, even without attending a performance.
“We want De Doelen to be not just a place where you come for a concert, but a place where you’ll want to stay a little longer. With Studio Blendd and Bistro Blendd, we’re strengthening De Doelen as a gathering place and making a visit here more and more of a complete night out,” said Edo Righini, director of De Doelen.
Starting September 8, guests can dine at Bistro Blendd.
