At De Doelen, talented individuals are given the space to grow, experiment and showcase their talents to an audience. Together with partners such as the Codarts Conservatoire and production company FLOW, we are building a place where emerging artists can develop – across the full spectrum of music, from pop to jazz and classical.

Talent development is under pressure. In more and more places, resources and opportunities for young artists are disappearing. Yet that is precisely where the future of music begins!
If we do not provide a space for talent now, we will feel the consequences in a few years’ time. Fewer new voices. Less innovation. Fewer home-grown musicians on our stages.

what Friends make possible
Their contributions make it possible to provide a stage for talent, something that is costly and difficult to recoup through ticket sales alone. These contributions bridge the gap and ensure that these programmes can go ahead. In addition, contributions from Friends also enable educational projects for children and young visitors, allow us to invest in improvements to the building and the visitor experience, and enable us to stage special concerts that would not get off the ground without extra support.
In this way, every contribution has a direct impact on what happens on and around the stage and helps shape the future of music.

Friend from €5 per month
With a contribution starting at €5 per month, you help young creators develop their talent and find their way to the stage. Together, we make sure talent has the space to grow, experiment and reach an audience.
As a thank you for your contribution, you will receive:
- invitations to exclusive activities and special events;
- from €60 per year, an annual 50% discount on one ticket;
- from €250 per year, two free tickets annually;
- behind-the-scenes tours;
- a newsletter featuring stories about the impact of your contribution.

how much does it cost to become a Friend?
You can become a Friend from €60 per year (€5 per month) for one person. From €100 per year, you can become a Friend with two people. There are different Friend membership levels available: the higher your contribution, the greater your impact on talent development, education, and special projects at de Doelen.
what is my contribution used for?
Your contribution helps make talent development, educational projects, special concerts, and improvements to de Doelen possible. In this way, you help keep music accessible and provide new generations of creators with a stage.
can I change or cancel my contribution?
Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time. Please contact us at steun@dedoelen.nl.
what benefits do I receive as a Friend?
As a Friend, you receive invitations to exclusive events, behind-the-scenes tours, a newsletter, and—depending on your Friend membership level—discounted or complimentary concert tickets.
is my contribution tax deductible?
Because you are donating to a cultural ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation), your gift may qualify for tax benefits. This is especially the case if you support de Doelen through a recurring donation. Please contact us if you would like to learn more.
