Be enchanted by the sounds of the Rotterdam Youth Symphony Orchestra (RJSO) in
a world full of imagination, teacups and musical notes! A concert for young and old,
where nothing is what it seems.
A unique production in which the RJSO together with young actors from CODARTS put on a fantastic fantasy performance with the story of Alice who is amazed by the sounds of the orchestra.
In this modern tale of ALICE, based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Alice flees the crowded, overcrowded Rotterdam shopping streets. Suddenly she invades a concert where she hears sounds she's never heard before. She tumbles from Mendelssohn through to a Modeshot, from Tea Visit to Prokofiev. She runs into a Rabbit, a Caterpillar and a Fashion Queen. What do these characters want from her? If you listen carefully to everything around you as well as to yourself, you will unravel everything.
In the supporting act, the neighborhood orchestras of the SKVR Neighborhood Culture School will play.
For all ages and, of course, all dads on this Father's Day.
