This summer, Galerie Atelier Herenplaats is taking over the space at Doelen Art. From June 13 to July 20, you will see quirky and expressive work by Rotterdam artists with a special story.
Atelier Herenplaats has been a household name in the city since 1991. Every day in the studio on Schietbaanstraat, dozens of artists with a mental disability or psychiatric background work on their development. For these artists, who do not naturally have access to art school, Herenplaats offers its own art training with professional guidance.
The result? Raw, surprising, and original work - which can now be seen worldwide. During this expo, a selection of these gems can be admired in de Doelen Art. A unique opportunity to get acquainted with these artists and their works, right in the middle of the city.
