New European Ensemble (NEuE) and artist Nick Versand join forces to create a hypnotizing immersive performance centered on Steve Reich’s Double Sextet.

Nick Versand constructs his own hardware and software. The result is light installations that have zero latency when reacting to, and playing with, live music. His works, including Anima and Within Without, attest to a magnetic drive that matches Reich’s music and its renowned tribal propulsion, generated by the slowly shifting patterns for which African drumming formed a significant inspiration.  
  

Nick Verstand is beloved by young audiences and has made light art for the MTV Music Video Awards, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, SXSW, and artists including Björk.
