The Netherlands Student Orchestra is a national project orchestra full of ambitious young students who, besides their studies, participate in classical music on a high level. Every year in february, the NSO performs throughout the Netherlands.

This year, the NSO, led by Jurjen Hempel, performs Bruckner's wonderful Symphony no. 7 and the renowned Cello Concerto by Edward Elgar. Ella van Poucke will performs as a solist in this world famous cello concerto in a way only she can. Composer Christiaan Richter has created the commissioned composition 'Motion Blur Streaks' especially for the NSO.

This year's NSO project is about the theme 'Inspire'. Inspire us and get inspired by the beautiful sounds and melody by Brucker, Elgar and Richter, performed by 85 talented students.
