The Codarts String Orchestra is an orchestra without a conductor, the students lead the orchestra themselves. They rehearse every week under the guidance of Roger Regter (solo cellist Residentie Orkest and Codarts teacher) and Letizia Sciarone (violinist Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Codarts teacher). During rehearsals, students learn how to lead, follow and adapt as befits good musicians. In addition, a string culture in sound is essential as a string player and gives the special color of each orchestra individually.
