Beautiful music with humorous stories about the double bass

Master double bassist Dominic Seldis and his musical partner James Pearson bring you a wonderful evening full of music and humor.

Dominic Seldis is best known as a jury member in 'Maestro' and host of various TV programs. He combines his leadership role with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra with virtuoso solo concerts all over the world.

There is a lot to laugh about and enjoy in Stand Up Bass. Seldis combines beautiful music with humorous stories about his instrument. In a classical environment, but also with excursions to, for example, jazz and tango. Pearson shines in compelling improvisations.

Seldis is the 1st solo double bassist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra since 2008. He is also a much sought-after soloist (with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra) and a popular chamber musician. The general public mainly knows him as a TV personality.

James Pearson is a pianist, composer and a creative mind who is at home in all musical genres, especially contemporary music, jazz and classical. Pearson is the artistic director of the Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in central London.
