Perselí

Perselí is a trio: Fuensanta sings and plays the double bass, José plays the saxophone and Alistair plays the trumpet.

The band, which was founded in 2018, consists essentially of three voices and a double bass. This orchestration offers diverse possibilities for sound and texture.

Perselí will present music from their debut album, which is the result of a four-year collaboration. The music itself runs through melancholy, explosive anger and elation.

During the live set you can expect improvised passages that resemble those of a modern chamber group, original songs that draw on a range of different folk music & soundscapes that imitate nature and our environment.

Perselí is a collective that composes together, and bounces off each other's ideas and influences to form a sound all of their own. These influences span multiple musical angles. Arvo Pärt, Morton Feldman, Björk, Radiohead, Chico Buarque, Fausto, Maurice Ravel would be the tip of the iceberg.

Their debut album will be released in August 2022.
