Sheku Kanneh-Mason, just 23 years old, is one of the biggest rising stars of our time. So are the other members of the Kanneh-Mason family, all seven siblings. In 2016, Sheku won the BBC Young Musician of the Year award, rocketing his career. When he performed on Harry and Megan’s wedding, he was right away discovered by two billion people across the globe.
Combining a Bach Suite and a Britten Suite, this concert is a textbook example of a solo cello recital. Nevertheless, he makes this recital his own by adding lesser known composers like Simcock, Brouwer, Finnis and Cassado.

programme
