Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda usually works on the cutting edge of digital art and electronical music. Ikeda’s art is globally renowned and consists mainly of overwhelming audiovisual works of arts that represent the invisible structures and data that dictate our everyday life. In his works, he makes use of images of both microscopes and telescopes, pixels and the universe: the utter smallest and utter biggest come together. For the Swiss percussion ensemble Eklekto, Ikeda by exception composed an acoustic soundscape, Music for Percussion.
