For a string quartet, starting the concert with Haydn is like soup for a starter. It just works! Their main dish, however, is a surprising piece: the first string quartet by Ralph Evans, their first violinist. Together with Itamar Golan, they finish with Brahms’ Piano Quintet. If this was a dessert, it would be a huge, creamy chocolate cake. A chamber music programme on Michelin level.
