An optimistic concert about faith in human strength

Christmas in 2020 – the celebration of birth, new beginnings, hope. What do we celebrate and hope in two centuries? And how will we look back to our time, in which a number of crucial decisions has to be made to keep the planet livable? What new kind of human will rise in the next centuries out of the messy reality of today? An optimistic concert about faith in human strength.

In this Christmas opera of the future, Pynarello and author Marjolijn van Heemstra fantasize about the celebration of Christmas in 200 years. The libretto by Marjolijn and the music by young Dutch composer Boris Bezemer are combined with music by Bach.
