Poetic and socially engaged jazz, combined with Nordic folk and indie pop

KAMA Kollektiv is a band centred around Finnish vocalist and trumpetist Jirsi-Marja ‘Kiki’ Harju. Kiki shares stories of love, transformation, finding happiness in the little things, and nature. Their music is best described as jazz, combined with Nordic folk and indie pop. Bassist Jonathan Nagel composes and writes poetic lyrics, in which the bands reflects upon the challenges of our world. Their second album, TOIVO (Finnish for ‘hope’), was released on 25 June 2021 by BERTHOLD Records.

“We need to remember: even if things sometimes appear troublesome, there is always hope.”
