Paul McCartney’s 80th birthday is reason enough for a tribute to the greatest living musician. The Beatles caused a musical and societal turning point, but his solo career is no less impressive.
Some of his biggest Dutch fans will be presenting a McCartney anthology. From Bertolf and Yorick van Norden, to Roel van Velzen and Stephanie Struijk, to Pablo van der Poel and Eric Vloeimans. Of course, the evening will feature classics like Hey Jude, Blackbird and Yesterday, but his later work will also feature prominently. From his work with Wings to songs off his magnum opus R.A.M. to a new favorite you hadn’t heard before.
About Strange Brew:
Strange Brew’s performances celebrate the most important and most beautiful events in the history of pop music. They have previously compiled programs about Woodstock, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Motown, The Beach Boys and many others.
