Coşkun Karademir is considered one of the most renowned interpreters of traditional Anatolian music. He’s a virtuoso on the bağlama (the long-necked lute) and famous in Turkey as a musician and producer. Karademir and his band members perform profound pieces of art, ranging from traditional, mythical works to folk music. His work combines a variety of traditional influences, with innovative and adventurous compositions as a result.
Masters of Anatolia is a new festival consisting of a series of evening concerts. Joining forces with seven renowned Dutch concert venues all across the country, it aims to bring Anatolia’s rich musical culture to the Netherlands. The line-up consists of esteemed instrumentalists and vocalists who take their musical inspiration from Anatolian sources.
